More than 50 businesses are participating in this year's 6th annual Evanston Wine Walk, which is 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12.
Who it supports
This year a portion of the ticket sales will go to the Rainbows for All Children, located right here in Evanston, in the heart of The Mile.

You can stroll along The Main-Dempster Mile, sipping wine at over 40 locations and enjoying live music. Tickets are $30-35 if bought prior to the event at www.maindempstermile.com or can be bought the day of for $40-45 at 4 sites; Vinci Wine, Evanston Animal Hospital, La Principal, Firehouse Grill.
Also new this year, guests can purchase tickets for Taste of the Mile for $15. Taste of the Mile will be a dinner party that runs from 4:00-6:30pm where you will get a small taste of food from some of the restaurants on The Main-Dempster Mile.
